Are all of the sample pictures on the photographer’s website shot exclusively by the photographer that will appear to photograph your event? How will you know what sample pictures contained in their website – if any – were taken by the photographer that will be assigned to shoot your event?

I am the photographer at Carib Photography. All pictures on the Carib Photography site are my work. No “staff” photographer will be sent to photograph your event.

Does the photographer edit and print his own work?

Yes. All phases of the photography process - including editing and printing (up to 8 x 12 enlargements) - I do myself.  Most other photography services outsource all other phases of the process and never see the final product that is sent to their client. The average turnaround time is 4 to 6 weeks and more for these photographers. Carib Photography will easily have your wedding or event photos within 2 weeks or less.

Is minimal retouching  available at no extra charge on photo enlargement orders? 

Yes! Your enlargements are for framing and should look their best.

How experienced is the photographer with digital photography and photographing weddings?

I converted from film to digital over 7 years ago, long before many others made the change. I keep up with the latest technology and software advancements to insure that your photos will look their best.

I have photographed over 300 weddings & events in the US Virgin Islands – all in professional digital format. Combinations of traditional, creative, and photo-journalistic styles of photography are used to provide a wide variety of images to capture the special moments of your wedding or event.

My photography has been featured as “Editor’s Photo of the Day” and “Picture of the Day” on websites such as Photo Alley,  Picture Trail,  Travel Photo Contests, and Photo Trust. I also won many awards in competitions on those web sites - competing with photographers all over the world, including a Grand Prize Award from Photo Alley for an image titled “Celestial Stairway”. In the earlier years of 35mm film photography I won “Best in Show” in an art competition in Atlanta for my photography.

What about photography services that offer packages with hundreds of pictures at a bargain price?

Do not make your decision based solely on the amount of pictures offered. These services will give you a large quantity of unedited pictures with groups of 10 to 15 pictures taken from the same angle. Only a fraction of these will be “keepers”.

I prefer to shoot a sufficient quantity of photos from many different perspectives to provide you with a wide assortment of photos. Only the best are selected & edited for your package. Quality wins over quantity every time!
